Privacy Policy

Your sources can be personal. This page explains what modory processes when you use our website and application, and how to contact us about your data.

01What we collect

When you sign in with Google, modory receives your Google account identifier, email address, and name. We do not receive your Google password.

We store the content you add to modory, including documents, uploaded files, images, conversations, and the understanding and Canon pages created by the Agent. We also store settings and version history needed to operate the service. If you email us, we receive your message and contact details.

Our hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and error logs to deliver and secure the service.

02How your information is used

We use this information to sign you in, store and display your sources, run Agent tasks, preserve history, maintain backups, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.

03AI processing

modory uses OpenRouter and DeepSeek to provide the models available in the Agent. When you chat with the Agent or request source understanding, relevant messages, source passages, and context are sent to the selected model provider, directly or through OpenRouter, for processing. If you enable Agent maintenance for a source, future changes may also trigger this processing until you turn it off.

AI providers process data under their own terms and policies. Please review OpenRouter’s Privacy Policy and DeepSeek’s Privacy Policy, as applicable to the model you use, before submitting sensitive information. Do not upload material you are not permitted to share with the service or its providers.

04Service providers and storage

We use Google for sign-in, Fly.io to host the application, and Cloudflare for website delivery, DNS, and backup storage in R2. Providers receive information needed to perform their services. Data may be processed outside your country, including where our hosting and AI providers operate.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the security and rights of users and the service.

05Cookies and website tracking

The application uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and may save interface preferences in your browser. This website does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Infrastructure providers may process requests for security and operational purposes.

06Retention and your choices

We keep account information and content while needed to provide the service. Deleting content from a workspace may not immediately remove associated version history or backup copies. Current backup retention is seven days for database snapshots and thirty days for deleted or replaced files.

To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information or account, email hi@modory.app. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where required by law or needed to resolve a security incident. Your rights may vary under local law.

07Security and changes

We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. If our practices change, we will update this page and its date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required.

For privacy questions or requests, contact hi@modory.app.
